Dear Parents:

Greetings from Surry County High School.  Please find below the schedule for the first semester Standards of Learning (SOL) End of Course Tests for Surry County High School.  We want to thank you for your support this school year and ask for your continued support as we prepare our students to take the SOL End-of-Course Tests. 

During our testing period, please make sure that your child gets plenty of rest, eats a healthy breakfast, comes to school every day and arrives on time, that is, by 8:00 a.m.  The PTSA will provide breakfast bars for the students the morning of testing.  

A directive from the Virginia Department of Education prohibiting cell phones during testing is still in effect.  Our cellular phone policy states that during the instructional time, cell phones must be in the student's locker.  In order to comply with this directive and our policy, students must leave all personal items in their lockers, including pocketbooks, during testing.  Students will be asked to empty their pockets as they enter the testing room.

We realize that with all of us working together, we will be successful on our end-of-course tests.
