Human Resources

The Human Resources Department of Surry County Public School System is responsible for maintaining records for all contracted and non-contracted employees, retired employees, and resigned employees.  Employee contracts and licensure updates for educators are issued from this department.  Input from Human Resources to Payroll determines pay and benefits entitlements, and all requests for transfer, resignation, retirement and other employment actions are processed through this department.  All employment applications are submitted to Human Resources and interviews are scheduled through Human Resources.  Questions on contracts, licenses, salaries, benefits or any employee related matters may be directed to the Human Resources Department as follows:
