Vision:

The vision of the Surry County High School Counseling Department is to educate all students in academic, career, and personal/social development in collaboration with parents/guardians, school staff, and community members. The school counselor will assist in providing a safe and positive environment for students to build a foundation for life-long learning, good citizenship, respect for self and others, and motivation for achieving academic success

MISSION:

Surry County High School Student Services Counselor collaborates with students, parents, and staff members to prepare and encourage all students to achieve high standards of excellence.  A comprehensive developmental program that addresses the academic, social/emotional and college/career preparatory needs of our student body.  As a professional school counselor, the counselor also empowers the students to achieve their current and future goals and to develop citizenship that embraces excellence of character.
