The following information will help students log in on the first day of school! Please note that students can log in now but their courses will not appear until the first day of school.

Online Registration & Student Device/Material Pick Up
Online annual registration is now open. Online registration allows parents to complete the required annual registration information update online from their PowerSchool Parent Portal. Annual registration must be completed prior to student device/material pick up. Student device/material pick up will take place in the bus loop of each school and is scheduled for the following dates and times:
- August 31 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
- September 1 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
- September 2 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
- September 3 from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm

2020-2021 Return to Learn Plan
On August 3, 2020, Surry County School Board elected for a Virtual Start to the 2020-2021 school year for the first quarter of school. This decision was guided by a concern for the health and safety of our students and staff as COVID-19 rates increase both nationally and locally. The following information will provide staff, students, and parents with additional information as it relates to our Return to Learn Plan and procedures for virtual instruction for the first nine-weeks of school.
Virtual Learning Resources
All students Pre-K - 12 will use Canvas as their virtual learning platform with Virtual Virginia as the primary educational content for all students in grades 2-12. Teachers will supplement Virtual Virginia content with teacher-created materials as needed to ensure effective instruction and maintain pacing. Digital tools will be used to provide consistent feedback.Chromebook OverviewAll students in grades 2-12 will receive a Chromebook to use for learning.
