The Concurrent Enrollment program at Brightpoint Community College gives Surry County High School students the opportunity to learn trades and earn credits towards certification in vocational careers. Concurrent Enrollment students take their Brightpoint Community College courses on campus at the Chester location for the first part of the day and return to Surry to take their high school courses for the second part of the school day. Transportation is provided for students to travel to and from JTCC daily.
Currently, Brightpoint Community College and SCHS have partnered to provided the following options for concurrent enrollment:
- Early Childhood
- Industrial Electricity
- Mechanical Maintenance
- Precision Machining
- Welding
- Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
