L. P. Jackson Middle School - Library Media Center

The mission of the LPJMS Library Media Center is to support the instructional and informational needs of students and staff. The LMC meets these needs by providing access to print, electronic, and audio-visual resources that are appropriate for school libraries. The LMC staff further supports the needs of its users by providing instruction and assistance with all library materials.

LMC Staff
Ms. D. Dawson is the Librarian for LPJMS and Surry County High School. She has over twenty years experience in school, academic and special libraries. Her education includes a B. A. from the University of Virginia (Charlottesville, VA) and a M.L.S. from Vanderbilt University (Nashville, TN).

Ms. L. Holloway serves as the Library Assistant at LPJMS and Surry County High School. She is currently in her fourth year with SCPS.
