Encyclopedia Virginia is an online encyclopedia that covers the people, history, government, economy, and culture of Virginia. EV is a publication of the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities and started with a 2001 grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities. The first phase of the encyclopedia covers Virginia literature, Civil War history, and twentieth century history.
Provides links to state government related information and services. The site was developed as a part of the Virginia Information Technologies Act (VITA).
