Golden Legacy Exhibit Contributors: Item Pickup Information

Surry County High School would like to thank ALL COUGARS who were gracious enough to allow us to display your SCHS memories and treasures in our Golden Legacy: 50 Years of Excellence Exhibit. Surry County High School is something special, and we thank everyone for making our celebration and exhibit, a COUGAR-RIFFIC Success! All items may be picked up from Mrs. King at the high school today, Monday June 1 , 2026 between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., and Tuesday, June 2, between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 pm.

As we celebrate the end of another successful school year, we want to thank our students, families, faculty, and staff for making the 2025–2026 school year such a tremendous success. Your hard work, dedication, and support have helped create a positive and productive learning environment for all of our students.

As we transition into summer, please note that Summer School will begin Monday, June 1, 2026, and continue through Thursday, June 11, 2026.
Report cards will be mailed home on June 4, 2026.

Throughout the summer, we encourage all students, staff, and parents to regularly check our school website for important updates, reminders, and key dates related to the start of the 2026–2027 school year.

We hope everyone has a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable summer break. Thank you again for a wonderful school year, and we look forward to seeing everyone ready to Aim High for the 2026-2027 school year.

We are excited to share that YMCA will soon be partnering with our school division to provide before and after-school childcare services, with the potential to expand into summer programming for our students. The YMCA is widely recognized for its commitment to youth development, healthy living, and strengthening communities, and we are eager to explore how this partnership can best serve the needs of our families.

To ensure these services are designed with our community in mind, we are asking for your input. Your feedback will help us better understand scheduling needs, areas of interest, affordability considerations, and the level of demand for both school-year and summer childcare options. Whether you anticipate using these services or simply want to share your perspective, your voice is important in helping us build a program that supports our students and families.
