Dear Parents/Guardians,

April is a time for celebration and recognition. This month, we observe Workforce Readiness Month, highlighting career exploration and preparation for students, along with Workforce Readiness Day on April 16. Surry County Public Schools offers a variety of CTE programs, including JROTC, Agriculture, Technology, Energy, Business, and Family & Consumer Sciences.
Juniors and seniors may also participate in concurrent enrollment at BrightPoint Community College in fields such as HVAC, Welding, Precision Machining, and more.

We also celebrate the many staff members who support our students each day, including National School Librarian Day (April 4), Administrative Professionals Day (April 22), and School Bus Driver & Transportation Staff Appreciation Day (April 28). We are grateful for their dedication and contributions to our schools.

For questions about our CTE programs or opportunities, please contact your child’s school.

Have a safe and enjoyable Spring Break!
