The mission of the Surry County High School Library Media Center is to support the instructional and informational needs of students and staff. The LMC meets these needs by providing access to print, electronic, and audio-visual resources that are appropriate for school libraries. The LMC staff further supports the needs of its users by providing instruction and assistance with all library materials.
LMC Staff
Ms. D. Dawson has been the Librarian at SCHS since August 2004. She has over twenty years of experience in school, academic and special libraries. Her education includes a B.A. from the University of Virginia (Charlottesville, VA), a M.L.S. from Vanderbilt University (Nashville, TN), and twenty-one hours of graduate work in the area of Education. Ms. Dawson also serves as the Librarian for L. P. Jackson Middle School.
Ms. L. Holloway serves as the Library Assistant at LPJMS and Surry County High School. She is currently in her fourth year with SCPS.
