Join Virginia Superintendent of Public Instruction Lisa Coons for a conversation about our kids and the effects of cell phones and social media on their mental health and academic performance. The Virginia Department of Education is developing guidance for school boards to provide students a cell phone-free education and remove cell phones from schools during instructional time. This Commonwealth Conversation provides a local, in-person opportunity for discussion on how schools and communities can build new norms around phone usage.
