School bus drivers are an essential part of every school community. For many students, they are among the first school employees they see in the morning and the last they see in the afternoon. Their responsibility goes far beyond driving a bus. They safely transport our students, welcome them with a familiar face, and help set the tone for a positive school day.

Their patience, dedication, kindness, and commitment often happen quietly and behind the scenes, but their impact can be felt throughout our schools. To all of our school bus drivers: thank you for the miles you travel, the early mornings you give, and most importantly, for helping our students arrive safely and ready to learn each day.

We'd also like to take a moment to welcome Ms. Anne Ford and Ms. Renita Green to the SCPS family. We greatly appreciate their commentent to our students and family. We also like to recognize Mr. Timothy Pierce as our new Director of Transportation and Fleet Manager, Mr. Carey Pierce as Coordinator of Afterschool Transportation, and Ms. Lillie Womble as our new Operations Secretary.

Though we highlighted just a few, we want to take a moment to thank everyone in our Transportation and Maintenance departments. They are among the first to start the day at SCPS, working behind the scenes to keep our schools moving, safe, and running smoothly.
